James D. Wilcox was born 4 March 1859 at Manchester, Bennington County, Vermont, USA.[1] He appeared on the census of 1 June 1865 in the household of his parents, Joseph Ruggles Wilcox and Sarah (Andrews) Wilcox, at Zumbrota, Goodhue County, Minnesota.[2] He appeared on the census of 7 Aug. 1870 in the household of his parents at Zumbrota, Goodhue County, Minnesota.[3] He appeared on the census of 1 May 1875 in the household of his mother at Minneola Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota. [4]
He married Ellen L. Allen on 29 Jan. 1890 at Red Wing, Goodhue County, Minnesota.[5]
James died on 12 May 1895 at Hallock, Kittson County, Minnesota and was buried at Casselton Cemetery, Casselton, Cass County, South Dakota. His memorial has a photo of his headstone.[1]
