Hi Heather

Thank you for joining our ONS project. Currently, there is not a Wilcox study.....please feel free to create one. The FAQ section on the ONS project page should answer most of your questions.

Hi Heather,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Heather,

I added a couple more sources to William Wilcoxson's profile (b in 1601), and posted a new question asking for a leader to remove his parents: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/268352/please-remove-parents-from-ppp-william-wilcoxson Sharon

Hi Heather

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 24 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

I see you have surnames for tags. Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Again, thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles.

Hi Heather - I notice that you have 2 surnames in the one TAG. You should edit the first TAG leaving only 1 name then fill in another TAG with the other name.

When you click on a TAG it will show others researching that name (if any) Derek

Hi Heather

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

NOTE- You cannot add Info until you Volunteer.

Once you volunteer (To add your OWN family information), one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! Glad you joined us.
