Rhode Island Genealogical Register, RIGR vol 2, page 94: Abraham was born about 1706. In the 1774 census there were three Abraham Wilcox families, one called Abraham 3rd in Exeter "suggesting Abraham b ca 1706 may still have been alive then."
Abraham Wilcox married Lydia Harrington, 5 June 1739 in Exeter, Washington, Rhode Island [2],[3],[4],[5].
Children of Abraham Wilcox and Lydia Harrington who are documented by evidence (approximate birth order):
[[Wilcox-505|John Wilcox, born 9 July 1741; married 31 January 1762 Mary Barber (Daniel).
Abraham Wilcox (1745-1803); married (1) 14 February 1790 {error, I think it is 1770} Mary Card; married (2) 20 August 1781 Mrs. Ann (Tillinghast) Hoxsie; married (3) 13 Dec 1791 Mrs. Mary Boss, widow of Elder Charles Boss.
Jacob Wilcox (Oct 1747 - 1832) [unsourced as a child of this family]; married 1) Sarah Russell; 2) Sarah Brown
Ebenezer Wilcox (1749 - 1841); married Elizabeth Himes
Isaac Wilcox, born about 1750; married 7 January 1773 Rebecca Barber, born 16 June 1735, daughter of Nathaniel and Charity (Rathbone) Barber
Abraham Wilcox passed away probably after April 1766 at Exeter, Rhode Island.
Notes
An online family "searching" function postulates that Abraham's death occurred 1 July 1803 in New London, Connecticut, however no evidence is put forth [6].
The Wightman genealogy also lists Lydia (Wilcox) Lillibridge (1764-1854) as the final child of this birth family, who became the wife of John Lillibridge [7]. Lydia may have been a granddaughter of Lydia (Harrington) & Abraham Wilcox, via their son John Wilcox. Probative investigation is encouraged.
