James sent me a question, but his return email address does not work. [email address removed] Here is my reply, but without attachments. Email me again with a correct address and I will send the attachments.

Hello James,

My personal Legacy genealogical program shows two Decius Hunt Wilcoxs, sons of Aaron E. Wilcox and Electa Barnham, born 26 Feb 1821 and died 13 Oct 1827. Buried in Harpersfield N.Y. There is a bald note saying "Died in infancy" and also Decius Hunt Wilcox born 10 Sept 1828 and died 19 Apr 1919, married Angeline J. Trantman, born Pa. died Llewellyn Pa. A bald note says "Had 7 children".

I guess these dates may well be right because if the 1st Decius died in 1827 and the second one was born in 1828, it is very likley that his parents wanted to remember the first!

I visited America in 1984 and with a cousin Hyman Wilcox visited local cemetaries and took photos. I don't have one for either Decius.

I regret that I have no proven source information. Various Wilcox/Willcox people have taken an interest and I do not remember where this data came from.

PS! I just had another look and I guess the source information was from Wyoma (Wilcox) Chambala, Hyman's daughter with whom I am still in touch. She found a little book, after her father's death, with genealogical information and she photographed it for me. I have re-typed the information, rather badly, with spelling mistakes. I have attached the file.

Best wishes,

Norman Willcox
