Doris was born in 1887. She is the daughter of William Wilcox and Annie Young. She married her sister's husband's nephew.

A bridge luncheon was given at the Mary Louise last Thursday by Mrs. Thomas Oliver Meade of Chicago, who has been in Los Angeles for several months. Three mounds of gaily colored flowers connected with sprays of ferns and garlands of matching satin ribbons formed the centerpiece, nut cups and clever place cards harmonizing with the color scheme. A lovely fashion show was in progress during the luncheon, the guests departing to the Chinese Room for bridge. Those included were Mrs. Robert Knoll and Mrs. William Meade, nieces of the hostess, who were honorees. ... ^[1]
