William Wilcox / Willcocks (1724-1800). Was a Judge Advocate for New Jersey Court Martial Trials. He paid the Supply Tax 1779, 1780.

William Wilcox was born abt. 1724 in New Jersey, and died aft October 02, 1800 in New Providence, NJ. He married (1) Elizabeth Hole. He married (2) Phoebe Howell Bet. 1755 - 1786, daughter of David Howell and Mary Howell. She was born Bet. 1708 - 1734, and died Bet. 1767 - 1823.

m1. abt. 1744 Phoebe Howell 1726–1767, daughter of David Howell (1705-1775) and Mary Pierce Baker (1707-1786).

m2. aft. 1767 Elizabeth Hole abt. 1740-1824, daughter of Charles Hole Hole-1052 and Sarah Smith.

His will dated 2 Oct 1800 Springfield Twp, Essex, NJ, William Willcocks, to (2nd) wife Elizabeth to have remainder of moveable state for life. His children Latitia Redden, Sarah French and Rachel Willcocks. Granddau Rachel Vrelandt and Rhoda Lacy. Sons Levi and Benjamin deeds for land of considerable value. Granddaughter Mary Willcocks (of deceased son Cornelius) when she is 18, Son William. Daughter Elizabeth Hasel. Daughter Latitia Redden to have use of the house she lives in and after her death to her son William Redden. Proved 11 Nov 1800. [1]
