This link Adoptees: How to Set Up Your Profile is a WikiTree help page specifically designed for new members who indicate they are adoptees. It is also helpful for non-adopted members who have adoptees in their family tree.
Where it has a link under your name for your parents, you can start it off with your biological parents, and you can start a new tree from your adopted parents using this link[ https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:EditFamily], and in the biography section of your profile, you can add a link to your adopted parents by adding their Wiki ID and name
I hope this helps, any problems please let me know
