Frederick George Wilcox was born April 26, 1925 to Elisabeth Schmuck Wilcox and Frederick Lorne Wilcox. Fred spent his childhood in Tulsa, where he was born, before serving a tour of duty in the Philippines. After the war, Fred achieved a Petroleum Engineering Degree at the University of Tulsa and worked in the profession throughout his successful career. He enjoyed a long healthy retirement in Oklahoma City, with his wife of 41 years, Weona.
Fred was well respected by everyone who met him. He had a gentle, playful spirit that was always positive and upbeat. His enduring wisdom, compassion and comfort will be dreadfully missed, especially in challenging times.
Fred peacefully passed away in his home on Tuesday, July 17 at the age of 93. He is survived and loved by his wife Weona Wilcox, daughters Susan Wilcox Scallon and Danna Jo Martin Morrison, sons Gary Wilcox and Paul Martin, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and two grandsons.
