Abigail Wilder is not always mentioned in either the Wilder or the Sawyer pedigrees. This is likely because her birth record has not been found and it appears she had no children. That she was a daughter of John Wilder is shown by his will where she is called his eldest daughter.
She is sometimes given an estimated birth date of about 1685 to fit in a gap of the known births of the children of John Wilder. However, for to be the eldest daughter she would had to of been born between Thomas Wilder (b. 2 March 1676) and Hannah Wilder (b. 31 October 1679). This s a fairly tight window placing her birth as late 1677 or more likely in 1678.
She was named as "eldest daughter namely Abigail Wilder" in the will of her father dated 12 February 1717/8. She was clearly unmarried at the time. On 8 June 1720, Joseph Sawyer acknowledged receipt of the inheritance left to Abigail his now wife" by her "late honored father John Wilder, deceased." The administration of the estate of Joseph Sawyer in 1737 names his wife Abigail and was overseen by Ephraim Wilder.

It appears to me the Abigail Wilder who was the widow of James Wilder has a profile Gardner-91.
I didnot create this profile mearly adopted it. It has been edited a few times by others but the biography appears reasonable albeit with limited sources.
