Biography

Mary was born 22 Jul 1768 in Brattleboro, Vermonnt. She was the daughter of Joshua Wilder and Margery Dunster.

Mary Wilder married Luther Sargeant abt 1787, in Brattleboro, Vermont. ^[1]

She passed away in 31 Jan1790 in Brattleboro, Vermont.^[2] The headstone inscription for Mary Sargeant : In Memory of Mary Sargeant wife of Luther who died 31 Jan 1790, ae 21 yrs and 7 mos.^[3]

Notes

There are conflicts in the year of Mary's year of birth and her age at time of death. In the book by Samuel Dunster indicates her date of birth as 22 Jul 1768 which coincides with her age of 21 years, 7 mos. engraved on her headstone. However, Vermont Vital records has her age at death as 27 years, 7 mos.
