Biography

Edwin was born in 1784. Edwin Wiley came to Georgia as an infant with his parents. [1], his father, William Wiley having settled in Greene County GA. There were 5 children in this family: Edwin, Moses, Sarah, Isaac, Polly (Sally & Isaac were twins [2]

Edwin married Eliza DeWitt and they settled in Hancock Co GA where is was a large planter. [3] He helped organize the Mount Zion Church in 1815 when he was ordained one of the original elders.[4]

Edwin and Eliza are buried in the Mount Zion Church Cemetery in Hancock Co GA.[5]
