Sam Wiley is a part of US Black heritage.
Sam was a slave owned by William Wiley . It's likely Sam came from Gloucester Co, VA as that is where William Wiley came from before 1755.
Sam lived in Amelia Co, VA. He is seen on the county tithe lists in 1756[1] ,

It is possible that Sam moved to Halifax Co, VA when the Wiley family moved there about 1771.[7] [8]
