Obit 15 FEB 1992. Note: Clara Wilhelm Meuth, age 76, of Rockne died Friday, February 7, 1992, after a long illness. She was born on April 12, 1915, in Rockne to Pete and Hanna Zuberg Wilhelm. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter, Roxie Zumwalt. She is survived by her husband, Adolph Meuth; three daughters, Daisy and husband, Frank Zumwalt of Luling, LaVerne and her husband Chas Dewitt Alexander of Rockne and Marie and her husband, Haberer of San Marcos; six grandchildren Jimmie and Cheryl Zumwalt of Luling, Rose Henderson and Charles Alexander of Rockne, Ronnie and Lisa Haberer of San Marcos, nine great-grandchildren; sister, Erna Wiseman of Waco; and sisters-in-law, Emma Wilhelm of Smithville and Maggie Wilhelm of Deer Park. Rosary was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 9 at Sacred Heart Church in Rockne. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m., Monday, February 10 at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Clyde Holtman officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Jimmie Zumwalt, Charles Alexander, Ronnie Habere (sic), Robert Henderson, Ted Chastain and Gene Hahn. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Gooch and Virgil Meuth. Arrangements by Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop.
