On 1 Jan 1901 in Dripping Springs, Hays, Texas, Sam married Sadie May Hughes.[1]. Together, they had five children: David Barnett, Mable Marguerite, Annie Norene, Ruby May, and Kathryn Bell.
Sam passed away 22 Mar 1950 and is buried in the Russell Cemetery, Russell, Oklahoma.[2]
