Jackson is living with Sam and Elizabeth at age 50, listed as as a farm laborer. His race is listed as Mulatto, on the 1870 Census, this could be a data error or he was Samuel's child with a Negro slave? Jackson's wife Mary and son, Decater "Dexter" age 10 are also at the plantation. 
He married Mary (Unknown) born in Greene, Tennessee, in 1844.
They had a son named Decater "Dexter" G. Wilhoit. Decater is listed as a server on 1820 Census. On this Census Jackson and his son are "white" not mulatto. 
She passed away on 1880 in Greene, Tennessee, USA.
He married Nancy Ann Rollins, on 07 Sep 1890. She was born in Greene County in 1825.
