Biography
Amanda was the illegitimate daughter of Mary Wilhoit (Wilhite) and Col. Joel Hembree. Col Joel ended up adopting all three of his illegitimate children he had with Mary, so they could carry his name and so he would have heirs. Amanda married Alexander Suddath in 1850, Roane Co, TN. When she died she left 5 underage daughters Buried at Hembree Cemetry, Cardiff, Roane Co, TN.
