Biography

Alpheus was born in 1810. He was the son of Simeon Wilhoit and Mildred Murphey.

He married:

  1. Gillah Perry, 13 July 1837, in Bartholomew Co., Indiana.[1] She died in childbirth with their only child, Gilla Perry Willhoyte, who survived.
  2. Elizabeth Shell, 06 May 1839, Bartholomew Co., Indiana[2]
  3. Huldah Arnold, 12 June 1845, Bartholomew Co., Indiana[3]
  4. Elizabeth (Sibert) Newsom, 17 Sep 1846, Bartholomew Co., Indiana[4]

He passed away in 1855 and is buried in Summit Prairie Cemetery, Salem, Illinois.[5]
