Biography

Birth

Harry was born on January 25, 1906 in Wheaton, MN to Herman Wilke and Lillie (Schwarz) Wilke. He was the 5th of 12 children.[1]


Family

On November 26, 1936, at the age of 30, Harry married June Anderson (1911-2008) in Milnor, ND.[2]

Death

On February 11, 1997, at the age of 91, Harry passed away in Lisbon, ND. He is buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Gwinner, ND.[3][4]

Harry Herman Wilke, 91, Forman, ND, died Tuesday, February 11, 1997, in Community Memorial Hospital, Lisbon, ND.

Mr. Wilke was born January 25, 1906, in Wheaton, Minn. He attended school near Milnor, ND, and later attended Gwinner High School. On November 26, 1936, he married June Anderson in Milnor. They lived in Forman, where he worked as a carpenter. He later worked for Farmers Union, Forman, and the North Dakota State Highway Department. For 29 years he was a custodian at the Forman courthouse.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Harold and Allen; two sisters, Edith Bartz, Gwinner, and Emma Hohenstien; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Today from 2 to 4 in Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Milnor.

Funeral: Friday at 10:30 in Zion Lutheran Church, Gwinner.

Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Gwinner.
