Biography

Nicholas was born about 1804. He was the son of Nicholas Wilkerson and Malinda DeWitt. He died after 1870.

Marriage

• Nicholas married Jemima Livingston on 26 Dec 1828 in Bedford, Virginia. The couple had one daughter, Sarah, born about 1832. Jemima probably passed away sometime between 1832 and 1837 when Nicholas remarried.
• He then married Mary Wood on 19 Dec 1837 in Bedford County, Virginia, United States. Bird Wood gave surety.
• Nicholas then married Mildred J. Garrett, widowed, daughter of Elisha H. and Arabella Preston, on 15 May 1867 in Bedford County, Virginia. (Mildred was the widow of John J. Garrett (1831-1863)^[1] Mildred married John J. Garrett on 1 Mar 1854 in Bedford County, Virginia.^[2]
