Sergeant Charles Wilkerson was Killed in Action during Iraq War.

Charles Thomas Wilkerson was born on 09 September 1974 in El Paso County, Texas, United States. His father was Thomas Eugene Wilkerson (1950 - 2008). His mother is possibly still living.[1][2]

Charles T. Wilkerson joined the United States Marine Corps in 1998. He transferred to the United States Army in 2004. His unit, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado, was deployed to Iraq in March 2005. He was killed in the explosion of an unknown device near his tent just two months later. He was honored for his death in service to the United States in the United States House of Representatives in a statement by Representative Mike Rogers of Alabama on 14 June 2005.[3][4][5]

Before joining the military, Charles T. Wilkerson had worked as a carpenter, in telemarketing, and in the fast food industry. He joined the military in 1998 and served his country until his death. He was a member of the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had done missionary work in Uruguay. He was fluent in Spanish. He was an avid soccer fan.[3]

He was married twice and was the father of children.[3] Because they may be living, they are not mentioned here to protect their privacy in accordance with WikiTree guidelines.

Charles Thomas Wilkerson passed away on 22 May 2005 in Baghdād, Iraq. He was 30 years old.[2][3] He was buried in Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, Navajo County, Arizona.[6]
