Biography
Martha was born in 1834. She passed away before 1869.
Martha J. Wilkerson married John William Davis Boehm on March 25, 1851 at Mastin, Daviess Co., Kentucky. It has been suggested that she was the daughter of Thornton Wilkerson, but I do not know the original source for this speculation. (This cannot be the case because Thornton 1790-1857 had only four children, Robert, Catherine, Charles and Thornton, Jr.)
In Daviess Co. there are several Wilkerson children living with a Leah Pipes the oldest being Thomas H. Wilkerson who was 14. These children may possibly be Martha's younger siblings.
Martha was listed as being 16 in Daviess Co., and living in a boarding house alone in the 1850 KY Census.
They had at least three children: 1. Samuel Mercer Boehm, b. Dec. 15, 1851. 2. Martha "Mattie" Beverly Boehm, b. Jan 15, 1853 3. Cynthia Anne Boehm, b. c. 1854
