Ann (Wilkins) Plumbe was born in Northamptonshire, England.

Ann Wilkins was born in about 1815 and baptised on 12 February 1815 in Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of Richard Wilkins and his wife, Elizabeth Unknown. [1]

Ann Wilkins, spinster was married to widower Thomas Plumbe on 30 May 1837 by banns in Chalcombe, Northampton, England. Witnesses were Daniel Wilkins, Sarah Carter and Thomas Hancock. [2]

Note: Thomas Plumbe had previously been married to Jane Golby, [3] with whom he had several children, Maria, Job, Emma, Ellen/Helen and the youngest, Ursula, who was born and died in 1836. [4] [5]

Ann and Thomas had two children, Charles in 1838 [6] and Ursula in 1839. [7]

In 1841, Maria, Job, Emma and Helen were all living with Thomas and Ann, along with the children from the current marriage, Charles (3) and Ursula (2). [8]

In 1851 Thomas Plumbe (45, blacksmith born Wardington, Oxfordshire) and Ann Plumbe (36, born Chacombe, Northamptonshire) were living in Chacombe with three children, Emma Plumbe (17, born Sulgrave, Northants), Charles Plumbe (13, born Chacombe) and Ursula Plumbe (12, born Chacombe). [9]

In 1861, Thomas Plumbe (55, blacksmith) and Ann Plumbe (49) were living in Chacombe with three children, Emma Plumbe (26), Charles Plumbe (23) and Ursula Plumbe (21). Daniel Cheston (17, apprentice) was living in. [10]

In 1871, Emma (37, unmarried) and Ursula (29, unmarried) were still living with Thomas (63) and Ann Plumbe (55) in Chacombe, Northamptonshire. [11]

In 1871 quarter 2, Thomas and Ann's daughter, Ursula Plumbe was married to Thomas Ward in Hardingstone, Northamptonshire, England. [12]

In 1881, Thomas Plumbe (74, blacksmith) and his wife, Ann (64) were living in Chalcombe, Northamptonshire, England. Thomas's daughter Emma (47, single) and their son Charles (43, a blacksmith, single) were both residing with them, as was a grandson, Frank Ward (9, born Chipping Warden, Northamptonshire). [13]

Shortly thereafter, Thomas and Ann's son, Charles Plumbe was married to Susannah (Susan) S Wilkins, as they were on the 1891 census with three children age between 1 and 5, living with Susan's brother, Alexander Wilkins. [14]

Ann Plumbe died in 1890, aged 75 years.
