In 1851, William Wilkins (30), a boot and shoe manufacturer and his wife, Mary Susanna (30) were living in Windmill Hill, Warmington, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England with their baby daughter, Susanna Selina (2 months, born Warmington, Warwickshire) and 14 year old nursemaid, Susan Braine. ^[4],

On the 1861 census, William (39, a shoemaker), his wife, Mary S (40, a shoe binder) and their four children, Walter W (11), Susan S (10), Arthur S (4) and Alexander (1) were living with William's widower father, Daniel (62, stonemason), in Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England. ^[5]

In 1871, 20 year old Susan Wilkins, born in Warmington, Warwickshire was a general servant at a drapers/milliners at 6 High Street, Banbury, Oxfordshire. ^[6]

In 1881, Susan, age 30 and unmarried was a Housemaid domestic servant for the widow, Martha A Cowan (76), at Alveston Lodge, Alveston, Stratford On Avon, Warwickshire, England. ^[7]

Susan Selina Wilkins married Charles Plumbe in 1885. ^[8]

On the 1891 Census, Susan's brother, Alexander (31), a painter and decorator was head of the household. Living with him in Chacombe, Northamptonshire (which for administration purposes was in Banbury district, Oxfordshire, England) were his married sister, Susan (40) and his brother-in-law, Susan's husband Charles Plumbe (54, a blacksmith), along with their three children, Percy A (5), Charles L (3) and Thomas H (1). ^[9]

In 1901, 63 year old blacksmith Charles Plumbe (working on own account) and his wife, 50 year old Susan Plumbe were living with their children, Percy (15), Louis (13) and Harold (11). Alexander Wilkins (43), Susan's brother was living with them in Thorpe Road, Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England. ^[10]

On the 1911 Census, Susan Plumbe, born Warmington, Warwickshire, was a 60 year old widow. She had had three children, all still living. Living with her was her son, 21 year old Harold, a bricklayer's labourer and Susan's brother, Alexander (51), a house painter. Both men were working from home in Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England. Harold signed the document, although his mother was head of the household. ^[11]

Susan S Plumb died in 1923 in Banbury district, Oxfordshire, England at age 71. ^[12]
