Rachel Wilkins was born on November 17, 1729, in Middleton, Massachusetts to Othinail and Mary.^[1] She married widower Daniel Wilkins (1727-1761) on March 14, 1754, in her hometown.^[2] They had at least two children:

• Rachel (1755–1787)
• Daniel (1761–1830)
