Biography
Gordon was a Lieutenant in 18th Battalion AIF and lost a leg in France. He represented the seat of Bathurst in NSW Legislative Assembly from 1932 until 1935. He was first President of the Wellington RSL, vice president of Wellington Pastoral, Agricultural and Horticultural Association and member of Farmer's and Settler's Association and Grazier's Association.
His Death Notices read:
"WILKINS, April 6, 1938 at Warne Street, Wellington, NSW, Gordon, beloved husband of Margery and father of Gordon. Aged 52 years. Resurgam.
WILKINS, April 6, 1938 at Warne Street, Wellington, NSW, Gordon, beloved son of the late Abel Wilkins and Caroline and brother of Zoe, Gladys, Ross, George and Frank. Aged 52 years."
