Sarah (Wilkins) Robson was born in Somerset, England.

Sarah Greenland Wilkins was born in 1792, an Illegitimate daughter to Richard Greenland (a married man) and Ann Wilkins in High Littleton, Somerset, England. She was baptised September 2, 1792 in High Littleton.^[1]

Sarah had an illegitimate child, Mary Ann Wilkins, with David Hook, who was baptised on August 13, 1820 in High Littleton. Their abode was Hallatrow.

A second illegitimate daughter, Harriet Wilkins, was born to Sarah and Joseph Newbury in 1826 in Cameley, Somerset.

A third illegitimate daughter, Maria Wilkins, was born to Sarah and Jonathan Robson in April of 1828. She was baptised on July 31, 1831 in Cameley.

Overseers Accounts for 1799/1800 record the cost of a warrant for Richard Greenland, mittimus, guarding him all night and taking him to gaol, and a payment of £1.10/-, being 10 weeks at 3/-, to Richard Greenland's wife, while he was in gaol. This may relate to Richard's non-payment of maintenance for Ann Wilkins' child. There were further payment 1/3 for 36 weeks to Rich'd Greenland's bastard child.

HIGH LITTLETON VESTRY MINUTES 1755-1910 High Littleton Church, 13th April 1807. At a Vestry holden this Day, in pursuance of an adjournment from the Vestry holden here on Monday last, the Overseer produced the following List of the several Children, whom the Churchwarden and Overseers now think it proper to place out as Apprentices, Viz't.
