Scholar Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, 1859. He was ordained deacon in 1863 and priest in 1865. Precentor Manchester Cathedral 1862. Ordained 1865, Vicar/Rector of Glinton, Norfolk, 1875 to 1893. in 1866 he was curate of st. Stephens, Shepherds Bush. In 1868 he was made a minor canon of Peterborough. In 1875 he became Rector of Glinton. He had a noted good voice, funding the Peterborough Choral Society. [1] In 1911 he was living in Great Easton Vicarage, near Uppingham, Rutland as a widower. Also in his household is his daughter Florence Mary, born in or near Peterborough in 1870 and unmarried in 1911.[2]
