Biography
Susanna was born in 1748. Her parents were David Wilkinson and Susanna Skipworth. [1]
She married Edward Fletcher in Belchford in 1772. [2] They had at least 10 children:

- William (b.1778)
- Susanna (b.1779)
- Edward (b.1781)
- John (b.1786)
- William (b.1786)
- Joseph (b.1789)
- Robert (b.1793)
Susanna became a widow when Edward died in 1801. She remarried John Abbott, a widower, in 1807. [3]
She passed away at the age of 83 in 1831. [4]
Previous Research Notes
Have looked in Family Search and Free Register and cannot find a marriage to a John Abbott between 1775-1807. I question the fact of marriage given it's rather late to be getting married, unless this was not her first marriage and Wilkinson was not her last name at birth. - Vincent 2548 13 Jan 2018
John Abbott married Susannah FLETCHER 10 Feb 1807 at Belchford. [5]. Previous speculation about this being a second marriage appears sound. Further research required to establish her first marriage Watson-1411 09:47, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
