Biography

He was born about 1737 (probably in Virginia) and his parents were Mary Agnes (Bolling) and Nicholas Norbourne Wilkinson.

William Wilkinson first married after 1750 to Lorana Perkins.

William Wilkinson married secondly about 11 Jul 1761 in Goochland County, Virginia to Sarah Franklin.

In 1786 he was mentioned in the last Will of his father, Nicholas Wilkinson. [1]

He died about 1797 in Virginia, USA.

I was researching Wilkinson/Wilkerson on Ancestry and found William Wilkinson in a SAR record application Apr 24 1951 for John Parham Wilkinson b. 1889 New Orleans, LA. In his line he has this William Wilkinson & Sarah Franklin as his 2nd Great, with his line going back to Gabriel Wilkinson b. 1576 England. I don't see anyone posting about William serving in Revolutionary War? But the record has Gabriel f/o Thomas that married Elizabeth Lyddell, and I have that Thomas as George's son, so either he made some mistakes or I and others have.
