Homer was born in 1888. He was the son of James Wilkinson and Mary Harris. His parents died young and he lived with his maternal grandmother Elizabeth Harris as of 1900.[1] Homer enlisted in the US Navy, served during World I and was later married to Jeanne Rigagneau. He died in the service of his country in 1928.[2]
