"Emigrated from England to the Isle of Wright, VA in 1843. There were 3 brothers educated abroad. Anthony Wilkinson never married. Commadore Jesse Wilkinson married FAnny Coleman, their daughter Fanny married 1st cousin William Wilkinson. Dr. Willis Wilkinson married Eleanora Wilkins, who owned a rice plantation in Georgetown. She was the daughter of William Withers and his wife Annabella McDonald, daughter of Captain Adam McDonald and his wife Isabella Fitch. Annabella was a twin and married 3 times. Her three daughter were reared by William Wither's brother James. Eleanor's sister Mary Withers married James Harleston Read." per genealogy notes of Martha Brunson Guerard ( 1916-1980)
