Biography

Frederick Wilkinson was born about 1816 in London, the son of Edward WILKINSON and Rebecca YOUNG (married 1803, Streatham).

In 1844 he married Julia Margaret Bain OWEN at St George's Hanover Square. Together they had 9 children.

Frederick was a distinguished lawyer and moved to Melbourne to practise his profession, around the early 1850's

Julia passed away in Melbourne in 1861.

Frederick married Anna Maria LABY at Christchurch South Yarra on 28th October 1863. They had 2 sons together.

Upon retirement, the couple returned to England to live, living for a number of years at East Grinstead. They later moved to a hotel in Bournemouth where Frederick passed away in 1891.
