James was born in 1846.
He married Lucy Griffith in 1871.[1]
He remarried Hilda Humphreys in 1896.[2]
He passed away in 1918[3] and was buried in Mararewa Cemetery, Tapawera, Tasman District, New Zealand.[4] Note that the death dates on the BDM index and the tombstone differ.
