Ira was born in 1898. He was the son of Evan Willard and Nancy Baty.
He registered for the draft on September 12, 1918. His occupation was day labor for W. E. Gratton of Brandsville, Howell County, MO. His permanent home address was Brandsville, MO. He was medium height and build with gray eyes and brown hair.[1]
He married Mary Alice Palmer
