Biography

Helena was born about 1697 at or near Sleepy Hallow, baptism lists parents as Robbert Willemze and Greesje. Witnesses seem to be Frans and Rosul Giljon [maternal relatives?]. Two other siblings were baptized at the same time, allowing for a much earlier dob. [1]

Marriage: Sleepy Hollow marriage record Nov. 29 1719, #29 in Cole, for Jan Beljee born on Langh Eylant and Helena Willemse born in Philipsburgh. Both resident in Philipsburgh and first marriage. [2]

Nelly Willems and husband Jan Belyee sponsor the baptism of Willem Van Texel Oct. 18 1737 at Sleepy Hollow. Willem’s mother was Aantie Willems.

She passed away aft 1737.

Williams-44653 and Willemse-457 appear to represent the same person because: Pretty confident that they are the same. Husbands need to be merged.

Hi Fred,

Fairly sure the LNAB here should be Williams and the OLN (aka) would be Wiliemse.

Thank you.
