Biography

William Fletcher Willet was born in 1831, the son of George Willet and Lucy Bent. He grew up in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia and remained there for the rest of his life. There is no evidence he married, in fact he is living with his brother Joseph, who did marry and raise a family, for at least 20 years. He is present in his brother's household in the 1871, 1881 and 1891 Census. He was working as a store keeper in 1881 and a port master in 1891.
