Page 15 of the census shows R A Willett (52), wife Josephine (48) and children Anna (24), Bell (18), Georgia (16), John L (14). Britta (13), Daniel (11), Bennedict (6) and Rose (2) living on the farm. RA is a farmer. RA reports he and his parents were born in Kentucky. Wife Josephine reports she was born in Kentucky, her father in France and her mother in Kentucky. All of the children were born in Kentucky. [2]

1900 - Kentucky, Nelson County, New Haven, District 90, 9 Jun 1900
The 132nd family in the census shows Robert A Willett (72), a widower and children Louisa (43), Isabella (38), Daniel (31) and Rosa M (22) living on the farm. Also living with them are his grandchildren Mary (4) and Cornelius (2), likely the children of son Daniel who is shown a widowed as well. The farm is rented. [3]

A marriage license is issued to Peter Smith and Rose Willett on 19 Nov 190. On 20 Nov 1901 the couple was married in New Haven, KY in the presence of Daniel Willett and Annie B Boone. Joseph P Welsh was the priest. [4]

Peter and Rose report they have been married for 9 years, suggesting they were married around 1901. All report they and their parents were born in Kentucky. Peter is a laborer in a distillery. Rose Mary Willett Smith, born 20 Mary 1878 in Gethsemane, KY died on 4 Jul 1952 of heart disease, a condition of her life for the past 5 years. She was married and a housewife. Her parents are listed as Robert Willett and Josephine Lennartz. The informant was her daughter, Mrs Clarence Rogers. She was buried at St Joseph Cemetery on 7 Jul 1952. [9]
