Immigration Notes

Samuel and his brother Michäel Willheit were the sons of Johann Georg Willheit. These two brothers did not immigrate to the Colonies, but, Michael's son, Johann Michael, immigrated about 1717 and Samuel's son, Johann Friedrich Willheit, immigrated in 1733. (Johann Michael and Samuel were 1st cousins.)

Johann Michäel Willheit, arrived about 1717 and ended up at Germanna, where the "Second Germanna Colony" had been settled in Virginia by Lt. Gov. Spotswood. The other cousin, Johann Friedrich, arrived in 1733 and settled in Pennsylvania.

The immigrants were:

  1. Johann Michäel Willheit and his sons: Tobias Wilhoit and Johann.
