He was the husband of Catherine Elizabeth (Baggs) Williams. By 1870, they were living in Arkansas, where Thomas was farming. They had seven children still at home (George, James, Martha, Cordelia, Mary, John and Robert), and a 16 year old Wesley, who appears to be a farm worker or servant. By 1880, they were living in Cove, Polk County, Arkansas. Five children were still at home - James, Cordelia, Mary, John, and Robert.
