MELODA ANDERSON ROTAN - Meloda Anderson, 78, of Rotan died at a 9 p.m. Monday in a Paris, Texas hospital after a brief illness. Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church. The Revs. George Weeks pastor of Peacock Baptist Church, and Mike Hicks pastor of Crossroad Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hobbs Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home. Born September 9, 1899, in Tarrant County, she moved here as a child and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.F. Williams. She married John Anderson December 11, 1927, in Snyder. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband ; brother, Ben Williams of Rotan; two sisters, Mrs. J.D. Kincaid and Mrs. Les McCombs, both of Rotan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.
