I was born Heather Williams in Warwick , Queensland, Australia in 1937, to Charles Arthur Williams, (Formerly C.A.Mietzcke) and Amy Jessie Radcliffe. My only sibling, Patricia, died in 1978, aged 39. After teaching in Queensland High Schools for several years, I married Barry James Werner in 1969 and lived in Stanthorpe Q. for 25 years till Barry passed away in 1994. I had continued to teach during that period, while bringing up son James , born 1972. On a trip to the USA in late 1994, I met and later married my second husband John Radcliffe of South Dakota. John was my third cousin. We had the same great-great grandparents Amos and Olive Radcliffe , Yorkshire. He died in 2010. I then moved to Tucson, AZ , to live closer to my son James , an Engineer with a business in the USA. Genealogy has become a favourite hobby. My mother's family (Radcliffes and Cockerills) is fairly well documented, but I know little about the Irish and Ukrainian-Polish-Russian roots on my father's side of the family. I look forward to gleaning more information on these through Wiki Tree. Heather Radcliffe.

Hi Heather, I also wonder how we are connected. What relatives of your late husband Barry are you interested in. Perhaps we can work out the connection.

Hi Heather,

I'd like to invite you to join in our "Weekend Chat", a popular G2G post where many of the members visit and share in a variety of topics.

New people say "Hello" and introduce themselves, Leaders and Mentors give tips and answer questions, and regulars share updates on their latest projects and victories... anything they wish to chat about. I most enjoy stories of famous or nefarious ancestors.

We'd love to hear from you, stop in when you're able!

Hi Heather - - Numerous connections via other families. Nathaniel Pigott, the very famous lawyer in his time, tried to save the 3rd Earl of Derwentwater. (Estates were forfeited, etc.)

Hi Heather, A friend of mine had a bone from the toe of James II, and the Jacobite Society would visit it from time to time.

Hello Heather,

Totally delighted to see that you have become the profile manager of Elizabeth Giles, isn't she simply amazing! Sadly though Elizabeth is no relation to me, I contribute to Mirboo North Cemetery by researching the residents and creating profiles for them to be found and available for family members to develop the profile by adding further research & precious memories - Thankyou

A couple thoughts since you mentioned having had your DNA tested. One, you might be interested in joining our DNA project. We have many knowledgeable members in that project who might be able to help you make connections. Check it out! Here's the link: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:DNA

Two, if you ever have DNA related questions, you can post them in our G2G Forum and they usually catch the eye of some of our DNA expert members. Just be sure to tag the post "dna".
