Biography

Mary Williams was born 5 Aug 1725, daughter of Rector Elisha Williams, President of Yale College, and Eunice Chester.^[1] Mary married Rev. Eliphalet Williams of East Hartford, Connecticut, son of the Rev. Solomon Williams, D.D., of Lebanon, Connecticut.^[2]

She married John Porter (1757-1806) of Wethersfield on 20 May 1784. The couple were married by her father. They had at least one son, Henry Chester Porter (1797-1865). Mary Williams Porter died on 19 August 1844.^[3]
