In 1841 John Williams (age 13) lived at Sheep Street in St Sepulchre, Northampton with his father William (40-44), brother William (12), and two unrelated women (likely servants).[2]
In 1851 John P Williams (age 23, Audit Office Somerset House) was a visitor at Camden Road in Saint Pancras, Middlesex in the household of Samuel L Price.[3]
John Parker Williams married Susannah Mercy Hubbard in 1858. The marriage was registered in Islington in the second quarter of the year.[4]
John and Susannah had one daughter: Jessie Constance (Williams) Twelvetrees (1863-1944).
In 1861 John Parker Williams (age 33, Cicil Service Audit Office) lived at Hilldrop Crescent in Islington with his wife Susannah Mercy (31) and servant Sarah Bakley (19, House Servant).[5]
In 1871 John Parker Williams (age 43, Civil Service) lived in St Lukes, London with his wife Susana May (41) and daughter Jepid Constane [Jessie Constance] (7), as well as two servants: May Ann Everit (19, Cook) and Elizabeth Moore (19, Housemaid).[6]
In 1881 John Parks Williams (age 53, Civl Service 1st Class Clerk Exchequer & Audit Dept) lived at Clapham Common in Hackney, London with his wife Susanna Mary (51) and daughter Sophia [Jessie] Constance (17), as well as servant Melinda Bishop (26, Cook).[7]
John's wife passed away in 1884: "WILLIAMS Susannah Mercy. Personal Estate £933 14s. 11d. 15 December. Administration (with the Will) of the Personal Estate of Susannah Mercy Williams (Wife od John Parker Williams) late of the Hollies 89 Upper-Clapton-common in the County of Middlesex who died 19 September 1884 at the Hollies was granted at the Principal Registry under certain Specialties to the said John Parker Williams of the Hollies Clerk in the Exchequer and Audit Department Somerset House and David John Hubbard of 110 Cannon-street in the City of London Solicitor the Brother the Executors."[8]
In 1891 John P Williams (age 63, Retired on Pension Civil Service) lived at Clapton Common in Hackney with his daughter Sophia [Jessie] C (27) and two servants: Anna Thompson (29, Housemaid) and Lucy Chapman (22, Cook).[9]
In 1901 John Williams (age 74, Retired Civil Servant) lived at Clapton Common in Hackney with his son-in-law Herbert Twelvetrees (35, Accountant to Electrical Engineer), daughter Jessie C Twelvetrees (37), and three servants: Annie Thompson (39, Housemaid), Eliza May (22, Housemaid), and Hester Owen (49, Cook).[10]
John passed away on 16 Apr 1901: "WILLIAMS John Parker of 89 the Common Upper Clapton Middlesex gentleman died 16 April 1901 Probate London 1 June to Jessie Constance Twelvetrees (wife of Herbert Twelvetrees) Arthur Corrie Keep consulting-surgeon and David John Hubbard solicitor. Effects £6969 0s. 9d."[11] His death was registered in Hackney in the second quarter of the year.[12]
