Caleb Williams was born on 16 March 1833 at Wroxton in Oxfordshire and baptised on 15 May 1833 in the Independent Church of Wroxton and Great Bourton, as the son of John Williams, a farmer, of Wroxton, and his wife Elizabeth, born Elizabeth Page. [1] [2] [3] [4]

In 1851 Caleb was living at Wroxton with his parents John and Elizabeth and their other children. His age was given as 18, implying a birth date in 1832 or 1833. His birthplace was given as Wroxton, Oxfordshire [2].

Caleb Williams and Mary Elizabeth Blount were married at the Independent Chapel in Banbury on 6 October 1863 [3]. [4].

In 1871 Caleb was living at Whatcote in Warwickshire with his wife Mary E. and their children. His age was given as 38, implying a birth date in 1832 or 1833. His birthplace was given as Wroxton, Oxfordshire. He was a farmer of 55 acres, employing 7 people [6].
