DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Richard or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
  • Richard Williams: Family Tree DNA mtDNA Test HVR1 and HVR2, haplogroup I, FTDNA kit #B255256

Richard,

Thanks for the comments on Shadrach Williams . . . it is possible the Cornelious Kincheloe was married to a Williams GIRL, but the whole Williams, Canterbury, Frith, Pinner, Pemberton, et al family thing is such a mess that I have never had the time or inclination to tackle it.

Then, I have received a number of comments that Lewin McPherson was flat wrong when he said that John Kincheloe married a Canterbury or that his father was one Hugh Kincheloe/Kinslo or whatever.

If I knew how to get rid of profiles, I would eliminate all profiles in my tree that pre-date John Kincheloe, except possibly Cornelious, as I consider them all as mere unsourced speculation and probably mostly wrong.

I see you have had your DNA tested. We have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening. If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.
