Biography

W.S. "Bill" Williams was born August 10, 1839. The location of his birth is not certain but his death record says "near Longview." This could indicate Longview, Tennessee, so that was entered. [1] The family history records of his parents John Williams and Rebecca Palmer do not indicate his birth location, just the date. [2]

Bill married Mary Hullett in about 1866 - the 1880 Federal Census indicates: W.S. and Mary Williams; children Laura, Charles, Andrew, and Effie. [3] The 1900 Federal Census shows the addition of their youngest daughter Nettie Lee [4]

Bill passed away on June 10, 1912 in Fosterville, Bedford County, Tennessee. It is unknown where he is buried. [5]
