Alfred was born in 1910, the son of Frederick Williams and Louisa Lobb.
He married Alice Alletson in 1937. Unknown if they had children.
When the 2nd World War broke out Alfred was living in Dunedin and was working as a Clerk. He enlisted as a Corporal and went on to serve in the Western Desert in North Africa. His next of kin was recorded as Mrs A. Williams (wife), 73 Forbury Crescent, St Kilda, Dunedin, New Zealand.
