Birth and Death

According to one account[1], James Williams was born in Rowan County, North Carolina and died about 1805 in Iredell County, North Carolina.

James is suggested to be a son or grandson of James Williams who died ca. 1785 in Rowan County, North Carolina.[1]

Marriage

James married Celia "Celie", whose maiden name is unknown at this time. (She is listed as Cely Keeton, age 70, living with her son Keelon Williams, in the 1850 US Census of Cumberland County, Kentucky, having apparently remarried to a Mr. Keeton.)
