Biography

John Williams was born in about 1806 in Maryland. Census records (1880) indicate his father was born in Scotland. John married Rebecca Palmer Stevenson (daughter of Thomas Palmer and Abigail Williams) on July 2, 1836 (it was Rebecca's 2nd marriage). [1] [2] [3]

Note: Death information has not been located; after 1880 in Iowa was noted because it was the last census in which he appeared, and the last known residence.

As noted in "North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000"[1]
