Cecil was born 26 November 1906 in Sonora to William Williams and Sadie Spragg.[1] The Williams family was living in Perry Township in 1910.[2] Cecil's father died and his mother remarried to James Bagent. In 1920, he was living with them and a mixture of his, hers & theirs children in Perry Township.[3]
Cecil married Sarah Brister in 1928 in Ohio County, West Virginia.[4] They were living in Perry Township in 1930[5] and 1940.[6]
"Cecil Francis Williams Sr., 56, of 1338 Moxahala avenue was dead on arrival at Bethesda Hospital where he was taken in a Bolin Bryan ambulance after suffering a heart attack at 4 pm Saturday at his home.
Mr. Williams was born Nov 26, 1906 in Sonora the son of William and Sadie Sprague Williams and had lived in this city for the past 17 years.
He was employed as an operator at Stancor Electronics Inc on Ceramic avenue and attended the Sonora Methodist Church . He was a member of Local No 1623 Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Surviving are his widow Sarah, a son Cecil Francis Jr. of Sonora, a daughter Mrs. Naritha (sp?) Evans of 1036 Wheeling avenue, a brother Dwight Williams of 615 Pershing road, three half brothers, Garland Bagent of the Coopermill road, Ora of Roseville and Willis Bagent of the Adamsville road, six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Putnam chapel of the Bolin Bryan Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 o'clock this evening.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Putnam Chapel with the Rev. F. ?. Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood."[8]
